Mentee Requirements
1. Confidentiality
You are required to maintain confidentiality between yourself and your mentor. Confidentiality fosters a trusting relationship. You are only allowed to share the information they give you permission to share.
2. Be an Active Participant
In order to maintain an effective relationship, you must meet with your mentor on a basis or frequency that is beneficial to your journey. This is at your discretion but should be at minimum, once a year. We understand things happen, please notify your mentor as soon as possible if your are unable to attend a scheduled meeting.
Failure to meet with your mentor or missing more than 3 consecutive scheduled meetings can result in your dismissal from the program.
3. Participation in the Evaluation Process
We will occasionally send out surveys to our mentors and mentees. These surveys will gauge your experience with the program as well as inquire about your interest to continue.
Failure to submit more than 3 consecutive surveys or receiving consistent negative feedback from multiple mentors can result in your dismissal from the program.
4. Be Kind
Above all, remember to be kind. Everyone is on different paths and this requires a level of empathy. Remain courteous and professional with your mentor at all times and reserve judgment. If you have a disagreement with a mentor or feel that your personalities may clash, notify us as soon as possible in order to be reassigned to another mentor.
If at any point we determine that your actions reflect negatively on the organization, you may be subject to dismissal from the mentorship program.
This is a voluntary program and all mentors participate in the program without compensation.
